Five transfers that could be completed this week, including Willian leaving Chelsea for Arsenal, Liverpool’s £11.75m deal and Tottenham arrival

Another week of the transfer window has passed and more deals have gone through.

Man City were the big spenders last week as they added Ferran Torres from Valencia and Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.

They are still chasing more signings – with Pep Guardiola aiming to add perhaps FOUR new recruits – but it’s unlikely they’ll be adding any players this week.

But that’s not to say other clubs won’t be busy over the next seven days, and talkSPORT.com take a look at five transfers that could be completed this week.

You can see them all, below…

Willian (Chelsea to Arsenal)

This transfer is all but done with Willian only needing to formally sign his contract with the Gunners.

He released a statement on Sunday which confirmed his departure from Chelsea after seven years, and various reports claim a three-year deal with a one-year extension has been agreed between Willian and Arsenal.

All the paperwork needs to be sorted out, but this is one deal which is basically done.

Kostas Tsimikas (Olympiakos to Liverpool)

The Reds agreed the £11.75m signing of left-back Tsimikas on Sunday after ending their pursuit of Norwich’s Jamal Lewis.

Tsimikas, 24, enjoyed a great season for Olympiakos, providing seven assists as they won the Greek title, and he should join the Reds this week.

He is expected to provide cover for first-choice left-back Andy Robertson, and is believed to have been Liverpool’s third choice target, behind the aforementioned Lewis and also Sergio Reguilon of Real Madrid

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Southampton to Tottenham)

Hojbjerg’s switch to White Hart Lane should be announced this week

Spurs agreed a fee for midfielder Hojbjerg last week and he will have his medical with the north Londoners on Monday.

As long as there are no complications, Tottenham should be able to announce their first summer signing as early as Tuesday – but even if its not done by then the deal should be completed before the end of the week.

Kyle Walker-Peters is expected to move from Spurs to Saints for £12m in a separate deal, but that one will take slightly longer as personal terms have not yet been agreed.

Antonee Robinson (Wigan to Sheffield United)

Sheffield United’s interest in Robinson was reported in The Sun last Sunday, and the Blades could have his signing wrapped up inside the next 48 hours.

The left-back was close to joining Milan in January, but he’ll now make the move from Wigan to Bramall Lane this week for just £1.5m.

It’s a bargain price for the United States international, with Sheffield United stepping ahead of West Brom in the race to sign Robinson.

Mario Gotze (Unattached to FC Cincinnati)

One of the more surprising transfers of the summer window appears close to completion.

Gotze, who scored the winning goal in a World Cup final only six years ago, is to join MLS side FC Cincinnati on a free transfer.

Cincinnati have only been in MLS since last year but they are in talks to sign Gotze, who left Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season when his contract expired.

He’s still only 28 and could join the US outfit this week, though rumours he had a medical with Cincinnati over the weekend have been refuted.
