Chelsea boss Frank Lampard would’ve seen a lot to please him as Germany fought back to earn an entertaining 3-3 draw with Switzerland on Tuesday night.
Not only did his two big-money signings Kai Havertz and Timo Werner inspire their nation, but Lampard might also feel vindicated in his exiling of Antonio Rudiger.

The Blues outcast made a real mess of his goalline clearance as Remo Freuler put the Swiss two goals in front after just 26 minutes, adding to Mario Gavranovic’s opener.
Then Havertz and Werner combined to lead the comeback for Germany.
First, Werner scored a fantastic solo goal after being fed by Havertz in midfield, taking it past numerous Swiss defenders before slotting away a tidy finish.
And it was the Chelsea pair whose pressing forced Switzerland into a mistake for the equalising goal, as Havertz intercepted and drove at goal before firing past Yann Sommer.
Then more suspect defending from Rudiger allowed the visitors back in front, as the centre-back drifted out of position and then failed to recover as Gavranovic got his second.
Again, it was left to Germany’s forwards to dig them out of trouble, and Werner went on a fantastic run before finding Serge Gnabry, whose delightful finish ensured the game ended all-square.
