If you’re willing to believe this Tottenham fan, the Premier League title is Spurs’ to lose.
Jose Mourinho’s side are fifth, two points from leaders Everton after six games – and they’ve been seriously impressive so far.
They have scored more goals than any club so far (16) with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son running riot in attack.
The two Tottenham stars combined for the 29th time in Monday’s 1-0 win at Burnley when Son headed in Kane’s knock-on in the 76th minute.
And Tottenham fan Adam believes his team could win a first top-flight title since 1961 with Mourinho in charge.
He told the Sports Bar: “The league is on. There is no question, it’s a shoo-in.
“We’ve got the best front three in world football and I think it’s a shoo-in. It’s ours to lose.”
talkSPORT co-host Jason Cundy replied: “Yours to lose? Come on. It’s Liverpool’s to lose, isn’t it?”
Adam said: “No, why? People write us off, they write off Spurs all the time.”
Citing Tottenham’s lengthy run without a trophy, which stretches back to 2008, Andy Goldstein commented: “There is a reason for that, Adam.
“You’re going through your most barren spell in over 100 years. That’s why people write you off.”
A defiant Adam responded: “In all seriousness, boys, you’ve got to look at what Jose’s doing.
“He’s changing the mentality at the football club – and we are no longer the team who play nice football or go up to Turf Moor and don’t come away with a result.”
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp joined Tuesday’s talkSPORT Breakfast to reiterate his claim that Spurs CAN win a first ever Premier League title this season.
He said: “I look at that squad and it’s a very strong squad. He’s got internationals covering every position.
“It’s a squad that I believe is very capable of challenging for the title. I still would make Liverpool and Man City favourites, but I think Tottenham have got every chance.
“It’s wide open this year. It’s so tight. I watched Liverpool vs Sheffield United at the weekend and that could have gone either way.
“Sheffield United were pressing for an equaliser and were very unlucky not to get one.
“Tottenham look very strong at the moment.”
