It’s deadline day and Manchester United’s vice-chairman Ed Woodward is under pressure to deliver big signings.

United were humiliated 6-1 by Tottenham on Sunday and have struggled to get deals over the line this summer.

Only one player has arrived in this transfer window so far – midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax for £40million.

England star Jadon Sancho has been their top target all summer but Borussia Dortmund have played hardball over his fee, and it looks like he’ll be staying where he is.
