As expected, Arsenal eased to victory over minnows Dundalk in the Europa League, winning 3-0 in their group match at the Emirates Stadium.
It was largely a stress-free evening for the much-changed Gunners side, with Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock and Nicolas Pepe all getting on the scoresheet.
We say largely stress-free because there was a moment where Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appeared to lose his cool despite the fact his side were three goals up.
Mikel Arteta’s side missed the opportunity to go 4-0 up on 79 minutes as Kieran Tierney blazed the ball over from the left.
It’s a miss that the manager, the fans and anyone associated with Arsenal will have already forgotten about, but maybe not Aubameyang.
Shortly after Tierney’s miss, the cameras filmed substitute Aubameyang, who appeared to slam the Emirates Stadium seats down in frustration.
Whatever his reasons for throwing the seat down, there’s no doubting Aubameyang will think he could have done better than Tierney.
But Arteta will surely recall one of his star players this weekend as Arsenal take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Gunners go into Sunday’s clash in not particularly good form though, having lost their last three league matches.
Meanwhile, United go into the game off the back of a hugely impressive 5-0 demolition of RB Leipzig in the Champions League, with Marcus Rashford banging in a superb second-half hat-trick.
