Premier League’s deadliest duo? Harry Kane and Heung-min Son combine for NINTH time this season as Tottenham edge past Burnley at Turf Moor

Harry Kane and Heung-min Son are unquestionably the Premier League’s deadliest duo at the moment.

They have now levelled the record held by Spurs duos Teddy Sheringham and Darren Anderton (1992-93 & 1994-95) and Sheringham and Chris Armstrong (1995-96), with both pairings also combining nine times in a single season.

It is also the 29th Premier League goal the pair have combined for – only Chelsea duo Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard have more.

In what was a cagey encounter, Spurs went ahead in the 76th minute when substitute Erik Lamela’s corner was flicked on by Kane and headed into the top corner at the back post by Son.

It came moments after the England captain had cleared off the line to deny Burnley defender James Tarkowski the opener.

The South Korean’s eighth top-flight goal of the campaign ultimately proved the difference as Spurs saw out the rest of the game to claim a 1-0 victory which moves them up to fifth place, while Burnley remain in the relegation zone.
