Southend have paid their tax debt and a winding-up petition against them has been dismissed.
The League Two club had been allowed more time to pay a debt of £493,991 to HM Revenue and Customs at an adjourned hearing in September.
And a winding-up petition, which had been adjourned four times to give Southend the chance to pay the debt in instalments, was dismissed by the Insolvency and Companies Court.
On Wednesday, chief ICC Judge Briggs was informed by a lawyer representing Southend that all debts have been paid back.
In April, the Shrimpers reached an agreement with the council to sell their Roots Hall ground to planning developers.
More than 500 new homes will be built on the site when the club move to their new 21,000 capacity stadium, Fossetts Farm.
Southend suffered relegation from League One last season and have started the new campaign in disastrous form.
The Shrimpers are winless and bottom of League Two after just nine games.
