Cristiano Ronaldo can continue playing until he’s 41 and will eventually break Josef Bican’s all-time goalscoring record.
That’s according to Mick Clegg, who worked with the Portuguese superstar closely during his hugely successful six-year stint at Old Trafford.

The Juventus forward remains at the top of his game for both club and country as he approaches his 36th birthday next February.
And Clegg sees no reason why ‘the best athlete’ Ronaldo can’t surpass United great Ryan Giggs and continue at the highest level for at least another half a decade.
“Before Ronaldo, the best athlete in terms of work on his body was Ryan Giggs,” Clegg told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He was the strongest, the most attentive to details. If Giggs played at United until he was 40, Ronaldo can play till he is 41.
“Cristiano was the only one able to go beyond the high standards of Giggs.”
Ronaldo scored a typically brilliant trademark header as Portugal thrashed Andorra 7-0 on Wednesday night to notch his 102nd international goal. He is now just eight strikes away from surpassing Ali Daei’s all-time international scoring record.

Clegg doesn’t believe that is the only record CR7 (746) will smash before hangs his boots though, claiming he will eventually move ahead of Pele (767), Romario (772) and Bican (805) to top the all-time goalscoring charts.
“He will score more goals than Bican,” Clegg predicted. “Ronaldo will change his way of playing, maybe his role too, as it happened with Giggs.
“He’s going to stay close to the top because he’s obsessed with being the best ever.”
“He trains a lot, he takes care of recovery and sleep, he has a cook, he knows how to avoid stress.
“He is attentive to details, this is the secret even if an injury can always arrive, it is not 100 per cent predictable.”
