Hakim Ziyech stole the show as Chelsea beat Sheffield United 4-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Moroccan winger notched two assists and was heavily involved throughout as Frank Lampard’s men rose to third in the Premier League.
The table’s bottom side took a surprise early lead as David McGoldrick’s neat flick handed the Blades a 1-0 lead less than 10 minutes in.
Ziyech and N’Golo Kante were caught out of position chasing a short corner, allowing George Baldock to cut back to Sander Berge in the Blues’ box.
The midfielder whipped the ball into the danger area and McGoldrick’s smart intervention ended the Blues’ run of clean sheets.
Chelsea hit back quickly however, Tammy Abraham bagging his second goal in the week to make it 1-1.
Ziyech’s fine ball over the top sent Kovacic down the inside-right.
Kovacic then provided a smart cutback that invited the onrushing Abraham to slot into the far corner.
Ben Chilwell then put Chelsea into a 2-1 lead just past the half-hour, turning the ball in at the far post after a well-worked corner.
Aaron Ramsdale conceded the set-piece cheaply and then the failed to cut out Ziyech’s rangy cross.
The former Bournemouth man should not have made either error, and Chelsea took full advantage, with Chilwell nudging in Ziyech’s teasing ball with his thigh.
Captain on the night Silva bagged his first Chelsea goal to put the Blues 3-1 to the good, flicking home from a brilliant wide Ziyech free-kick to improve the hosts’ lead.
Timo Werner could then have added a near-immediate fourth, only to put his lob just wide having outpaced the Blades’ defence.
Werner made no mistake when played in again shortly afterwards however, blasting past a hapless Ramsdale as Chelsea took total control by moving into a 4-1 lead.
The game ended with that scoreline, putting the Blues up to third in the Premier League heading into the international break.
