Marcus Rashford could miss Man United’s clash with West Brom

They welcome a West Brom side to Old Trafford this weekend who are in the bottom three and still without a victory this season.

The Red Devils do have some key concerns to deal with ahead of the match – which will be live on talkSPORT.

Marcus Rashford is a doubt due to a shoulder problem which forced him to leave the England squad early while fellow attacker Mason Greenwood is touch and go due to illness.

Luke Shaw will be out until mid-December with a hamstring problem while Jesse Lingard is still not being considered for league duty.

Summer signing Edinson Cavani is awaiting his first Premier League start but could make it if Rashford does miss out.

Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek did not start against Everton and it remains to be seen if either will be included in their XI this weekend.

Pogba admitted that playing for France over the past week has provided a ‘breath of fresh air’ away from United, describing the current period as the most difficult of his club career.

It will be interesting to see how that goes down with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it is likely that Pogba will again have to settle for a place on the bench.

Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Scott McTominay is the midfield trio Solskjaer has been favouring in recent weeks and are all expected to start again.

That is likely to mean summer signing Van de Beek also misses out, despite again impressing for the Netherlands over the international break.

For West Brom, this game will come too soon for Sam Field and Hal Robson-Kanu but both are nearly ready to return from injury.

Callum Robinson, Branislav Ivanovic and Matheus Pereira have all been self-isolating for 10 days having returned positive COVID-19 tests earlier this month.

But should they feel well, they could all play in this match should they test negative before the match-day.
