Bruno Fernandes can equal a record set by Manchester United legend Denis Law more than 50 years ago.
Fernandes has made quite the impact at the Red Devils since joining in January from Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese midfielder has scored 22 goals in just 37 games since his arrival and is United’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with seven to his name.
What is more remarkable about Fernandes’ record is that the majority of his league goals have come away from home.
Eleven of his 15 in total since January have come away from Old Trafford and he has scored in his last five consecutive away games.
If he scores against West Ham on Saturday – with commentary of the match live on talkSPORT – then he will equal a record set by Denis Law in 1964.
Law was the last Man United player to score in six consecutive away league games.
It will be a tricky visit for the Red Devils to the London Stadium with the Hammers in good form having picked up ten points from a possible 15 at home.
David Moyes’ side are flying this season and sit fifth while United are down in ninth but can climb the table with a win.
It will also be the first Premier League game to host fans since March with up to 2,000 home supporters allowed to watch the match.
It remains to be seen if there will be any advantage in having a small number of fans at the game for the home team.
