While the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool are struggling with injuries during the hectic schedule, Chelsea boast a clean bill of health heading into their Premier League clash against Leeds.
The Blues will hope to continue their momentum when the Whites visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday – with full commentary of the clash LIVE on talkSPORT.
And they are primed to do just that, with a fully fit squad and well-rested players after the Blues’ second-string beat Sevilla 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Having started the season with several injuries – Christian Pulisic was one big-name absentee – as well as recently losing Kai Havertz for weeks due to coronavirus, Chelsea now have no injuries whatsoever.
Even Billy Gilmour, who has been out since the end of last season with a serious knee injury, came off the bench against Sevilla to make his first appearance of the campaign.
That said, the embarrassment of riches in Lampard’s squad now leaves the Chelsea manager with some difficult choices to make.
Chelsea’s fringe players made a serious case for themselves on Wednesday night, particularly Olivier Giroud, who scored ALL FOUR goals.
It seems likely the France striker will replace Tammy Abraham in the Premier League starting XI, especially considering the Englishman was wasteful against Spurs.
Lampard said: “That’s what you ask I suppose, when you make nine changes.
“I always say when I pick the team I try to pick the best team for the game, and not to have favourites as such.
“You try to put the best team on paper, but when players play like they did today they give you a great problem.
“It’s having a top player playing with quality and playing with dedication.
“It was an amazing performance from Oli, to score four goals at this level, Champions League level, against a really good opponent.
“The individual quality of all his goals, I know the last was a penalty, but the team quality and his individual input, rightly he gets a standing ovation as he comes off the pitch. And I’m delighted for him.”
