Chelsea returned to winning ways against West Ham as Tammy Abraham justified his spot in Frank Lampard’s starting XI with a quick-fire second-half double in a 3-0 victory.
Lampard’s men came into the game on the back of two straight league defeats, but Thiago Silva’s first-header and Abraham’s timely contribution secured a welcome three points in the London derby.

The Blues were dealt a blow early on when Ben Chilwell was forced off with an ankle problem on his 24th birthday following an accidental collision with Jarrod Bowen.
Abraham’s ruthless double put the game to bed for Chelsea after a testing second period.
West Ham had dominated the majority of the half, but were hit with a sucker-punch in the 78th minute.
Werner cut inside and saw his weak shot tapped in by Abraham, who was played onside by Aaron Cresswell.
Two minutes later Chelsea put the game out of West Ham’s reach when the England international fired home to make it 3-0 after Lukasz Fabianski had kept out Christian Pulisic’s header.
The result means David Moyes has failed to come away victorious in any of his 16 Premier League fixtures as a manager at Stamford Bridge.
