Sadio Mane was visibly angry as he trudged off the pitch with Liverpool 4-0 up against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Reds winger was the star of the show until he was replaced by Mohamed Salah on 57 minutes, grabbing the second goal with a delightful turn and finish.
It appears Mane was hungry for more, and he could be seen frowning and gesticulating at the Selhurst Park clock as his number came up on the fourth official’s board.
According to BT Sport, Mane was told he would be substituted later in the game as Klopp rotates his players during the hectic Christmas period.
It comes after Mohamed Salah reacted badly to Klopp’s decision to substitute him during Liverpool’s draw with Brighton earlier this season, blanking the German as he left the field.
More recently, Trent Alexander-Arnold was given a telling off by Klopp for refusing to acknowledge Neco Williams when replaced by the defender during the draw with Fulham earlier this month.
But Klopp doesn’t seem too bothered by his players reacting badly to being substituted, if you look at how he responded to the Salah incident in November, so Mane’s reaction will probably delight him deep down.
He said: “The day when Mohamed Salah is smiling when he leaves the pitch, something is really wrong.”
