Anthony Martial ‘does not even look like he enjoys football’ according to Trevor Sinclair, who watched the Manchester United forward’s ineffectual performance against Sheffield United.

“I’m looking at what Anthony Martial has brought to the table,” said Sinclair during talkSPORT’s live commentary of the Old Trafford clash. “Has he tried any take-ons today?
“As a winger or number nine you’ve got to have a go and try and express yourself.
“He doesn’t even look like he enjoys football!”
It was an almost completely non-existent performance from Martial, who scored a hat-trick in the same fixture last season.

Martial, who has just two Premier League goals to his name this season, was defended just last week by talkSPORT Breakfast host Troy Deeney, who suggested the France international is ‘in the top ten strikers of the Premier League’.
Watford captain Deeney said: “Anthony Martial’s character will always be very dramatic – if he’s upset he’s going to show you that he’s upset.
“The guy is an unbelievable talent, you can’t deny that.
“It’s about expectation. Everyone always talks about his £50m price tag, but the guy still delivers.

“If you offered him now to Leicester, they would take him, if you offered him to Arsenal, they would take him.”
