Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has demanded Rangers tell their supporters to go home from their title celebration in Glasgow.
Fans have been out in the city since the afternoon having seen their side have their triumph confirmed with Celtic’s 0-0 draw with Dundee United.

Thousands of Gers fans flocked to Glasgow’s George Square to celebrate but were immediately discouraged from doing so by Sturgeon, who congratulated the club on their moment of glory – the 55th in their history.
They were also spotted enjoying themselves outside Ibrox and in other areas of the city, waving flags and letting off smoke bombs as they hailed Steven Gerrard and his men.
She politely reminded them that gathering in crowds risked lives as the country continues to deal with the coronvirus pandemic, and it might even lead to a delay in the third national lockdown being lifted.
Rangers fans are still partying though and in a second tweet Sturgeon labelled the crowds ‘infuriating’ and ‘disgraceful’ before asking the club themselves to tell supporters to go home.

She tweeted: “I share folks’ anger at this. Everyone has made so many sacrifices in the past year & seeing a minority risk our progress is infuriating & disgraceful.
“It is deeply unfair to the entire country, and the police have a hard enough job already. Please ask fans to go home @RangersFC.”

It is the second day of celebrations with many partying on Saturday before they had even beat St Mirren 3-0 at Ibrox.
They continued afterwards and Celtic’s slip, confirming the title win, saw even more parties and gathering occur.
