Take a bow, John McGinn!
The Aston Villa midfielder scored a sensational overhead kick in the closing stages of Scotland’s World Cup qualifier against Austria to rescue a point for his side.
With the Tartan Army trailing with little over five minutes to go, McGinn fired in a wonderful acrobatic effort to level the scoreline and claim a deserved point for his side.
It was a special goal from the Villa midfielder, who has scored just one goal for his side in the Premier League this term.
You can look at his brilliant finish, below…
Steve Clarke’s men fell behind in the 55th minute when Sasa Kalajdzic netted from the rebound after Marshall could not hold a long-range effort.
The hosts had a strong penalty claim inside 60 seconds when Christie was pulled over but nothing was given but they made their pressure count when Grant Hanley levelled in the 71st minute as he headed home Stephen O’Donnell’s long free-kick.
Kalajdzic headed home his second goal of the night with 10 minutes left to put Austria 2-1 ahead but McGinn scored a superb overhead kick to make it 2-2.
Both sides pushed for a winner and Hanley headed wide under pressure before Scott McTominay curled a free-kick well over in stoppage-time.
