Scott Brown could bring his 14-year association with Celtic to an end to join Abderdeen as player-assistant if close pal Stephen Glass gets the Pittodrie job.
The 35-year-old left Hibernian in 2007 to move to Parkhead and has been virtually ever-present for the Bhoys in their midfield ever since.

Brown is good friends with Glass for their time together at Hibs and the Atlanta United reserve manager wants his mate to join him into his first foray in management.
Following on from Derek McInnes’ exit, it is understood the former Newcastle midfielder is leading the race to get the top job.
According to The Scottish Sun, Glass wants Brown to be one of two high-profile names to join his coaching staff in the north east.
The 44-year-old also wants to bring England striking coach Allan Russell with him as well, the report goes on to suggest.

It is claimed the offer to get into coaching, whilst still playing, would be too good for Brown to turn down – especially at Premiership level.
Brown is out of contract in the summer and big changes are expected at the Glasgow giants after the departures of Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell.
Three Lions coach Russell is highly-rated by Gareth Southgate and the 40-year-old works with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane at St George’s Park to improve their finishing.
Were he to join Aberdeen, he would still continue to be part of the England set-up during international breaks.

Dons chairman Dave Cormack and Atlanta supremo Darren Eales, who also sits on the board at Pittodrie, will make the final decision on the identity of their new boss in the coming weeks.
Paul Sheerin and Barry Robson are currently in temporary charge.
