As if losing a cup final wasn’t a bad enough day for Tottenham, now there’s news that they may be missing out on appointing Julian Nagelsmann as their next permanent manager.
It’s been reported that Bayern Munich have opened talks with the 33-year-old, who’s understood to be on Spurs’ shortlist to be Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor.

The Daily Express claims that it would cost Daniel Levy between £13-17million to prise Nagelsmann away from current club RB Leipzig.
However, an arguably even bigger obstacle has now got in Spurs’ way with Bayern making their move for him.
German journalist Manuel Bonke of Munich-based newspaper Tz, says the Bundesliga giants have initiated talks with Leipzig in a bid to close a deal for Nagelsmann.
The Champions League and Bundesliga holders are on the lookout for a new coach with Hansi Flick announcing last weekend he would like to leave at the end of the season.

It’s thought Flick would take over the German national team, with Joachim Low to leave his role after the rescheduled Euro 2020 finals this summer.
Nagelsmann, who was in charge of Hoffenheim before Leipzig, has distanced himself from reports linking him to Bavaria.
It’s understood he’d be open to the Spurs job. Ryan Mason, 29, is in temporary charge and oversaw their defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
A number of other names have been linked with the Spurs position, including Nuno Espirito Santo and Rafael Benitez.
