An all-English Europa League final? Well if Arsenal and Manchester United play their cards right in the latter stages of the competition then that prospect will be realised.
Both clubs overcame their quarter-final games to book their place in the last four, with the draw meaning they avoided each other.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United were drawn against competition debutants Granada in the quarter-finals and completed a 4-0 aggregate victory.
Roma got the job done against Ajax to set up a tie with the Red Devils. The Italian side count Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Chris Smalling among their ranks, who starred in their 2017 Europa League victory against Ajax.
Arsenal went head-to-head with Slavia Prague, who had beaten Leicester and Rangers in the last two rounds.
Their first tie finished in a 1-1 draw but a 4-0 thrashing in the second leg booked their place in the semi-final.
The north Londoners made it through to set up a tie against Villareal for a place in the final, who are managed by Unai Emery.
That could set up a Premier League showdown for Europa League glory but there’s plenty of action to come before then.
The semi-final ties will be played on April 29 and May 6 with the final set for Gdansk on Wednesday, May 26.
