Harry Kane to Chelsea ‘cannot be ruled out’ as transfer speculation surrounding Tottenham star’s future mounts

It’s unthinkable in the eyes of many Tottenham fans, but Adrian Durham believes Harry Kane moving to Chelsea is a possibility.

It was reported at the weekend that the striker is considering leaving the club he’s been with since he was a boy, especially if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Kane’s future at Tottenham is yet again a huge topic of debate

Spurs’ defeat at home to Manchester United only increased speculation surrounding Kane’s future at the club as Spurs are now six points off fourth place.

A number of top European clubs have unsurprisingly been linked with Kane, who has 217 goals in 329 appearances for Spurs.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are among those to have been linked with the 27-year-old.

Losing Kane to Man United or City would be bad enough but another move that would really sting the Spurs faithful is Kane going to Chelsea.

It would be an unlikely move given Spurs and Chelsea’s intense rivalry but not impossible, warns Durham.

The Blues just qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League and the talkSPORT host added that their European pedigree would hugely appeal to Kane.

“I don’t have any kind of information that Harry Kane is going to Chelsea but you cannot rule Chelsea out,” Durham said on Drivetime.

“You all forget that Chelsea are expected to reach the Champions League semi-finals.

“They are regularly competitive in Europe, if they’re not in the Champions League, they WIN the Europa League. They don’t just take part, they win the flipping thing.

“This is a successful football club, the most successful football club in London of recent times and what do we know about London? Harry Kane loves living in it.

“So if he’s going to join another London club to stay at home then it probably will be Chelsea.”
