Kylian Mbappe had a night to forget in the Champions League as his Paris Saint-Germain side lost 2-1 to Man City.
PSG had gone ahead in the tie through Marquinhos before goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez saw City take the advantage.
The second leg is played next Tuesday with the French side having it all to do if they want to make the final for the second successive season.
We did not see much of France World Cup winner Mbappe in the game, and that’s probably much to the credit of centre-back pairing Ruben Dias and John Stones.
The pair kept him quiet all game and restricted him to no chances and few touches on the ball.
Mbappe failed to register a single shot in the game, the first time ever in a Champions League game for the 22-year-old.
He also had just 30 touches of the ball, with Man City goalkeeper Ederson having more with 31.
Mbappe had been in frightening form ahead of the game, scoring eight goals in just five games.
This included a brilliant hat-trick against Barcelona in the round of 16 and two against Bayern Munich in the quarter-final.
In all competitions, he has 37 goals in 44 games and has been brilliant all season for the French club.
City will have to be wary of him still in the second leg, but they have shown they can deal with him and the rest of PSG’s dangerous forwards.
