Question marks have again been raised over Timo Werner as the Chelsea forward squandered a glorious chance early on in the 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
The German somehow managed to miss from just six yards out in the first-half as Chelsea failed to fully capitalise on a dominant display in the opening leg of their Champions League semi-final, despite getting an away goal.

Ex-Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was able to save from Werner with his feet, but a yard either side and it would have been in.
The 25-year-old’s struggles in front of goal continue with just two goals to his name in his last 14 games in all competitions.
“If I was a Chelsea fan, I’d be bitterly disappointed. You bossed both halves, but it was all yours,” said talkSPORT host Andy Goldstein.
“How Timo Werner didn’t score from six yards out. Great save from Courtois, but that should have been 1-0.
“Pulisic made it 1-0 after 14 minutes, but it should have been 2-0.

“You should have scored at least two goals in that first-half and maybe should have scored in the second-half.
“If that was my team, I would feel it was a missed opportunity.
“I question whether Timo Werner is the right man to be in that side, he’s appalling. He’s had so many chances, he can’t finish for toffee.”
The Blues do take an away goal advantage after Christian Pulisic’s opener was cancelled out by Karim Benzema.

Ex-Chelsea man, and talkSPORT host, Jason Cundy feels like they should be in a better position in the tie, but avoided making the same mistakes as Liverpool.
The Reds crashed out in the quarter-finals against the LaLiga side with a disastrous first half in the first leg largely to blame.
Cundy told the Sports Bar: “It’s a bit bittersweet. I’m not disappointed in the result, but I’m disappointed that we didn’t win. I felt we did enough to get that cushion.
“Going into the second leg, I’m confident we can get over the line.
“We should be in a better position.

“I looked at the Liverpool game – over the two legs there was a bad 45 minutes for Liverpool, it was the first 45.
“They conceded two goals, and went on to concede a third, and it took the tie away from them.
“Liverpool played well in the second half of the first leg and over the second leg they were the better side, but left themselves too much work.
“We’re in a better position and they’ve got to score.”
