Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new one-year contract with AC Milan.
The legendary striker, who turns 40 in October, has scored 25 goals in 35 Serie A appearances in his third spell with the Italian giants.
A statement read: “AC Milan has announced that the Club has extended Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract.
“AC Milan is the Club for which Zlatan has played the most in Italy. After scoring 84 goals in 130 appearances with the Rossoneri, the Swedish striker will continue to be wearing the red and black jersey next season.”
Ibrahimovic announced ‘the saga continues’ with a picture of himself signing the contract on his social media pages.
Following a successful spell with LA Galaxy in MLS, the Swede rejoined AC Milan in December 2019.
Ibrahimovic’s 15 Serie A goals look set to help Milan qualify for Champions League football for the first time since 2014.
Milan are second in the table and lead fifth-placed Napoli by three points with six matches to play.
Ibrahimovic, who has played for the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, will aim to lead AC Milan to a first Serie A title since 2011 next season.
