Jason Cundy was every Chelsea fan after Mason Mount fired in a late goal to seal his side’s place in the Champions League final.
It was a moment of pure release for every Blues supporter after the west London club missed about half a dozen glorious chances to settle the tie in the second half.
Timo Werner and Mount struck as Chelsea sunk Real Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to book a Champions League final showdown with Manchester City.
Werner nodded into the empty net from one yard out in the first half, before Mount turned home Christian Pulisic’s cross late on, as Chelsea defeated Real 3-1 in the semi-finals on aggregate.
And Jason Cundy couldn’t hide his emotions when Mount, who has arguably been Chelsea’s best performer this term, fired home in the 85th minute to send the Blues to Istanbul.
You can look at his brilliant reaction in the video above.
Chelsea players were, unsurprisingly, in wildly jublilant spirits in the dressing room after the match – and none more so than Edouard Mendy.
Mendy, who produced a string of fine saves in the match, shared a video on social media of the celebratory scenes.
Tuchel’s men will now play Man City in the final on May 29th, with the German becoming the first coach in history to play in consecutive finals with two different clubs.
“It was difficult in the first half when they had a lot of possession and made us suffer,” he said on BT Sport.
“We were dangerous on counter attacks, but never lost the desire or hunger to defend.
“It was a fantastic performance in the second half, and we could have scored more earlier to be safe.
“It is a fantastic achievement and big congratulations to the team.”
