Safe to say Danny Mills took the news of Manchester City winning a FIFTH Premier League title in his stride.
City were confirmed as champions as second-placed Manchester United were beaten by Leicester, meaning the Red Devils are an unassailable ten points off the top.
It’s already been a memorable season for Pep Guardiola’s men, who won the Carabao Cup a few weeks ago.
But there’s still one more trophy for them to play for this term, with City taking on Chelsea in the Champions League final on May 29.
And Mills doesn’t want the players celebrating winning the league too much, as their European date is ‘what really counts.’
Moments after City winning the title was confirmed, Mills said: “No surprises, it was always a matter of time over the last month or so. They’ve been simply fantastic.
“We’ve all known it’s been coming, simple as that. As great as it is for City fans to win the Premier League again, they’ll all be celebrating tonight, the next one – the Champions League – is the one that really counts.
“It’s absolutely brilliant and City thoroughly deserve it but now there’s a bigger game coming up.”
