Manchester United owner Avram Glazer refused to apologise to fans over the disastrous attempt to form a breakaway European Super League last month.
On Sunday, thousands of United fans staged a protest against the club’s owners inside Old Trafford ahead of their match with Liverpool, which ended up being postponed.

A section of supporters made it on to the pitch where a flare was thrown towards Sky Sports pundits Graeme Souness, Roy Keane and Micah Richards, while two police officers suffered serious facial injuries.
Supporters have since written to co-chairman Joel Glazer, the brother of Avram, to warn of continued lawful protests if steps are not taken to give them a louder voice and a greater say in how the club are run.
The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) has urged the Glazers to adopt a four-point plan, which includes the immediate appointment of independent directors to the board ‘whose sole purpose is to protect the interest of the club as a football club, not its shareholders’.
United fans have never warmed to their owners since the club was bought in 2005 and the Super League, for which Joel Glazer would’ve been a vice chairman, has proved to be a tipping point.
When approached by Sky News, Avram Glazer refused to apologise to fans for their involvement in the proposals for the breakaway competition.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that the under-fire Glazers are ready to sanction a £90million transfer for Harry Kane this summer as they look to appease their furious fans.
Speculation has been rife over the Spurs striker’s future in north London following another disappointing campaign for the Lilywhites.
It is believed Man City and United are ready to move for Kane, though Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy is likely to demand in excess of £120m for his talisman.
