Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger never shies away from the big talking points and he was at the centre of controversy at Euro 2020 after appearing to bite Paul Pogba in the first half of Germany’s clash against France.
With Les Bleus 1-0 up and looking good for their lead, it was getting tasty between some of the players on the pitch.
Rudiger, however, may have taken it a step too far in a moment which was missed by VAR in Munich.
Battling with Pogba at a throw-in, the German wrestled with his opponent, who helped create France’s open with an exquisite switch of play.
As he waited for the ball to come onto the pitch, Rudiger then got his head close to his Premier League rival before appearing to gnaw on Pogba’s back, drawing a yelp of pain.
The France ace protested to the linesman on the matter but play resumed shortly after with Rudiger not even getting a talking to.
Speaking on ITV, Roy Keane described it as: “More of nibble than a bite.”
This is a breaking news story. More updates will follow shortly.
