Sam Allardyce has told talkSPORT Everton will not be calling him to discuss the vacant managerial role at Goodison Park.
The Toffees are on the lookout for a new boss following Carlo Ancelotti’s return to Real Madrid earlier this week.

Allardyce bossed Everton for six months during the 2017/18 season as he guided the club from 13th to eighth place.
However, a section of the Goodison Park faithful were unhappy with the former England manager’s style of play.
Everton are looking to appoint a third permanent manager since Allardyce’s sacking, with Ancelotti leaving after guiding the Toffees to tenth in the Premier League.
But the 66-year-old is certain he is not in the running for the job.
Big Sam, who left West Brom after failing to preserve their Premier League status last term, told talkSPORT: “I cannot see the phone call from Farhad [Moshiri – Everton owner] for me.
“There was a certain element in Everton, unfortunately, that started to complain about my style, as always, because it lives with me.

“It’s like that great, big tent on top of my head. You try and bring what’s needed to the football club, and that’s results first, and then you add to results by buying better players and playing more attractive football.
“I can’t see them giving me a ring. They gave me a ring because they were desperate last time!
“As a man that was capable of getting them out of a difficult position, which is what we did very, very quickly by the way, they didn’t let me go on from there.
“That was the disappointing thing, so I can’t see that happening.”

Allardyce insists the Toffees must recruit better players if they are to break into Europe next season.
He added: “With the amount of money Farhad [Moshiri] has put into the club, they really do deserve better. But how do they get there?
“Stability and a recruitment policy has to be the way forward if they are to succeed and break into the top six and then the top four.
“You have to look at recruitment and the quality of players. They had one of the best managers in Europe and they still came up short. So it has to be down to recruitment.”
