Dean Henderson has accepted Jordan Pickford will be England’s No. 1 at Euro 2020 and thrown support behind his fellow goalkeeper.
While there is fierce competition for places all over the pitch ahead of the Three Lions’ opener against Croatia on Sunday, you could bet your house on Pickford starting in goal.

The Everton shot-stopper has been first-choice for the entirety of Gareth Southgate’s reign and, despite questionable form for his club, never lets his country down.
Henderson forced his way into the Manchester United side over David de Gea towards the latter stages of the season, but he accepts starting for England this summer would be a bridge too far.
“I’m ready to play when called upon,” he told talkSPORT.
“Jordan deserves this tournament, he was brilliant at the World Cup.

“I’ve got a lot of time for him, he’s a northern lad like me.
“He’s been fantastic in an England jersey, so he deserves this tournament.
“I’ll be there ready, like Sam [Johnstone] will as well, if the opportunity arises and one of us gets on the pitch.
“My aim for this tournament is to help Jordan in the best way I can and really support him so he can be the best for our country.”
Nevertheless, the 24-year-old is excited just to be involved, insisting it’s a dream come true, even in a supporting role.
“Going out there with that badge on your chest, with your whole nation behind you, that’s something you’ve always dreamt about,” he added.
