Kevin Mirallas has been announced by Gaziantep FK in a unique way on transfer deadline day.
The former Everton star was seen holding a plate of baklava as the Turkish club revealed their new signing.
The baklava, a dessert pastry, had a ‘happy birthday Mirallas’ message on it as the winger turned 33 on Monday.
Hilariously, Gaziantep also welcomed Mirallas by accidentally using a picture of his former Everton teammate, Morgan Schneiderlin, but they have since deleted the tweet.
Mirallas had been a free agent after leaving Belgian club Royal Antwerp at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
He scored 38 goals in 186 matches for Everton after joining in a £6million deal from Olympiakos in 2012.
His last Toffees appearance came in December 2017, before he returned to Olympiakos on loan and then had another temporary spell with Fiorentina.
After being frozen out by then Everton boss Marco Silva last year, Mirallas signed for Royal Antwerp, but managed to score just two league goals for the club.
