Patrice Evra and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink get into HEATED debate on Sky Sports following Manchester United and Chelsea’s dull draw

Manchester United and Chelsea’s draw will not be remembered as one of the classics between the two sides, so much so that the post-match analysis was arguably more entertaining.

That’s because former United defender Patrice Evra clashed with ex-Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in a heated debate on Sky Sports about the way both sides approached the match.

The game finished goalless and Evra, who wears his heart on his sleeve as a pundit, lambasted both sides for putting on ‘boring’ displays.

However, it’s safe to say Hasselbaink understood where United and Chelsea were coming from, particularly as the Red Devils were playing their first home match since suffering a 6-1 humiliation at Tottenham.

Evra, who threatened to quit his job at Sky in the wake of that defeat, was accused of being contradictory by Hasselbaink, sparking the pair to argue even more.

The Frenchman then tore into Chelsea’s conservative approach, and of course Hasselbaink disagreed with that!

Evra then claimed the Man United players were ‘too scared’ to pass the ball. “Scared is a BIG word” – Hasselbaink simply replied.

Things then took a very random turn as Evra began talking about an injury that Hasselbaink gave him all the way back in 2004.

Strap yourself in, this debate has to be seen to be believed!

Was Evra right about the match being boring? Well there were one or two things to talk about.

Edouard Mendy made a good save to deny Marcus Rashford when through on goal, while Chelsea should have been given a penalty with Harry Maguire wrestling Cesar Azpilicueta to the floor in the box.

Evra and Hasselbaink were able to agree on that at least.
