Jose Mourinho compared his star duo Harry Kane and Hueng-min Son to animals as they helped seal at 2-0 win for Tottenham in the north London derby.
Kane and Son combined for their 10th and 11th goal this season and their partnership goals from strength to strength.
They are the second deadliest duo in all Premier League history and are chasing down record holders Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard – who are now just five ahead on 36.
Mourinho heaped praise on the pair and made a slightly bizarre comparison.
On the Kane-Son partnership, the Spurs boss told Sky Sports: “(They are) working like animals – I have all the respect for animals, I love animals, don’t get me wrong – but working amazingly hard when the team didn’t have the ball.
“Harry Kane clearing balls in the box, Sonny in the first 60 minutes as a winger working the balls on (Hector) Bellerin, then working a lot in as centre-backs.
“This is not just about scoring goals and being world-class players, they are great guys, great professionals that give everything for the team.”
Tottenham are top of the Premier League and there is now an incredible 11-point gap to north London rivals Arsenal, who are down in 15th.
When speaking about Arsenal, Mourinho said: “I think it was a big game not just because it’s Tottenham-Arsenal but it was a big game in every sense.
“I want to give a good word, congratulations to Mikel (Arteta), because he gave us a very difficult game.
“Tactically they are very good, they were very well-organised…they gave us problems. Problems which we managed to resolve because the players in this moment have a good tactical culture…but even above that they have an incredible spirit.
“But we deserved to win I guess because of two amazing goals and then always very solid, even in the second half.”
The Tottenham manager added: “I’m very happy, of course I’m very happy with the performance, with the result, but of course I want the team in the second half to be able to play in a different way.
“But the reality is sometimes that you don’t do what you want to do because your opponent forces you in a certain direction and it was a moment not to be taking any risks, because we were 2-0 up, not even 1-0, so it was not the moment to be taking any risks.”
