Premier League sack race odds: Solskjaer favourite for axe ahead of Manchester United vs Man City, while Arteta has three games to save Arsenal job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under serious pressure right now, and things don’t appear to be getting any easier.

Manchester United crashed out the Champions League on Tuesday night with a defeat in Germany to RB Leipzig – and they take on fierce local rivals Man City next.

Is Solskjaer’s time at Old Trafford running out?

Despite only needing a draw to book their place in the Champions League round-of-16, United were two goals down inside the opening 15 minutes and ended up suffering a 3-2 defeat to instead end up in the Europa League.

And the clash against City is sure to be a tough encounter with Pep Guardiola’s side starting to rediscover their best form after a slow start to the campaign.

The already incredible pressure on Solskjaer is sure to further increase should United lose another match, and more fans and pundits will join those already calling for ‘#OleOut’.

And, according to Ladbrokes, Solskjaer being sacked is a real possibility as he is favourite to become the next Premier League manager to lose his job!

Relegation contenders Sheffield United and West Brom and their managers, Chris Wilder and Slaven Bilic respectively, come next – and they are quickly followed by Mikel Arteta.

Arteta is really struggling right now and just cannot get out this rut

The Arsenal boss has been subject to ‘#ArtetaOut’ calls over the past few weeks as the Gunners drop down the Premier League table.

Despite winning the FA Cup last season, the north Londoners are now 15th in the top-flight and could end this weekend just four points clear of the relegation zone.

In fact, this is Arsenal’s worst ever start to a Premier League season and doubts have been raised over Arteta’s future at the Emirates, with reports claiming he has only THREE matches to save his job!

He ranks fourth in the sack race odds, suggesting it won’t be long before Arsenal chiefs swing the axe and dismiss their manager.
