They are fast becoming one of the most popular and unlikely double-acts in football.
Roy Keane and Micah Richards have both been in great form for Sky Sports this season and served up another priceless moment on Saturday while on punditry duty.
Discussing the early Sky game between Newcastle and West Brom, former Manchester City defender Richards underlined why he enjoys seeing footballers expressing their happiness on the field.
“I always love players who play football with a smile on their face. A lot of players are playing like they’ve got the world on their shoulders – they’re playing in the best league [in the world],” Richards started before he spotted Keane’s facial expression noticeably change.
Keane responded: “I never liked players who smiled. You’re there to win, remember? It’s not for me.”
Richards was at his mischievous best prior to kick-off as he asked Keane to give a prediction for the Manchester derby, and the former Manchester United captain – who has previously made it clear that he’s no fan of social media – was having none of it!
Never change, lads!
