Scott McTominay compared to Paul Scholes and Roy Keane as Manchester United man scores TWICE in first THREE minutes against Leeds

You can’t ask for a better start to a match than that!

Scott McTominay certainly had his Weetabix this morning – the Manchester United midfielder making an absolutely electric start against Leeds.

Will McTominay have a better opening three minutes in his career?

He’s scored TWICE inside the opening THREE minutes to put the Red Devils in a commanding position against their rivals at Old Trafford.

The first came after just 67 seconds as he latched onto a lay-off by Bruno Fernandes before crisply striking it into the corner and well beyond Illan Meslier.

And McTominay had his second moments later as he drilled home with his left foot after being found unmarked in the box.

As he celebrated his second goal, former Man United star Gary Neville likened McTominay to former teammates Paul Scholes and Roy Keane.

Neville said on Sky Sports: “Scott McTominay has turned into Paul Scholes and Roy Keane inside the first three minutes.”

Leeds were not deterred by their shoddy start and came close through Patrick Bamford, who also had a goal disallowed for offside.

But it’s all going right for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men with Fernandes firing in a third just shy of the 20-minute mark.
