Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney warms up in just a t-shirt and shorts as snow pours ahead of West Brom clash – then scores brilliant solo goal as Mikel Arteta’s men run riot

Kieran Tierney highlighted once more why he is one of a kind as Arsenal’s mini resurgence continued on Saturday night with a thumping 4-0 victory at relegation threatened West Brom.

The Arsenal full-back, dubbed the ‘Scottish Psycho’ by talkSPORT’s Tony Cascarino, has become a firm fans favourite at the Emirates.

Off the pitch he’s showcased a fun personality and a real connection with supporters.

From opting for a Tesco carrier bag ahead of an FA Cup tie at Sheffield United, to learning the north London lingo – Tierney’s influence continues to grow.

And the 23-year-old got in the good books of supporters again prior to Saturday’s trip to West Brom – thanks to his choice of pre-match attire.

There were near arctic conditions in the Midlands as snow pelted down on the Hawthorns ahead of kick-off.

Both sets of players were wrapped up warm as they got ready for the game – with the exception of one player.

Former Celtic full-back Tierney donned just a T-shirt and shorts, and to make matters even more hilarious had his socks rolled down!

Tierney then made further headlines on the field as his brilliant right-footed drive set the Gunners on their way after 23 minutes.

Mikel Arteta’s side doubled their lead after Bukayo Saka finished off a sensational team move, echoing shades of their 2003/04 Invincibles’ side during an impressive first-half display.

Gunners legend Martin Keown was covering the game for BT Sport and said on Tierney: “He warmed up in a t-shirt and scored a wonderful goal in the snow.

“He’s in a hurry to make his mark at Arsenal Football Club and boy he’s done it tonight.”

Alexandre Lacazette netted twice after the break as Sam Allardyce’s hapless Baggies fell on the wrong end of another thumping, while Arsenal are up to 11th with a third straight victory.
