Bruno Fernandes improved his already incredible stats on Sunday evening with a goal and an assist for Manchester United in their 3-1 victory over Newcastle.
Without playing especially well, the midfielder still added two goal contributions in the victory at Old Trafford, which saw United retain their spot in second in the Premier League standings.
Fernandes’ goal and assist means he now has 54 goal involvements since making his Man United debut last February.
Only Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski (68) has more in that time, while Lionel Messi has the same amount.
In what was a comfortable victory for United, Marcus Rashford put the hosts ahead with a fine solo goal on the half hour, cutting in from the left and beating goalkeeper Karl Darlow at his near post with a low shot.
Five minutes later Allan Saint-Maximin equalised with a slick half volley after United failed to clear Joe Willock’s cross.
But United edged ahead again on the hour when Fernandes touched on a cross from Nemanja Matic and Daniel James rattled it home at the far post.
Fernandes added the third from the penalty spot after Rashford was tripped in the area with 15 minutes remaining.
