Raheem Sterling became just the third player to score 100 goals under manager Pep Guardiola.
The Man City forward netted the third in their 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
It was his hundredth goal under the Spaniard, who joined City as manager in 2016 from Bayern Munich.
The only other players to have reached that total under Guardiola are Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi.
Aguero has netted 120 times while Messi scored an astonishing 211 goals during his reign at Barcelona.
Guardiola was Barca boss between 2008 and 2012 winning three league titles, two Champions Leagues and two Copas Del Reys.
He enjoyed a three year stint at Bayern before joining City four-and-a-half years ago.
He has won two Premier League titles and took a step closer to winning his third on Sunday with a 4-1 win over rivals Liverpool.
It was a nightmare day for Liverpool with two Alisson mistakes costing Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Ilkay Gundogan had missed a spot kick before redeeming himself in the second half with the opening goal.
Mohamed Salah’s 63rd-minute penalty – ending a home goal drought nine minutes short of seven hours – brought the Reds level.
Alisson then scuffed a pass straight to Phil Foden, who drove forward and crossed for Gundogan to make it nine goals in his last 11 league matches.
Worse was to follow as the Brazilian then repeated the error even closer to goal with Bernardo Silva teeing up Sterling to nod home his 100th goal for Pep Guardiola, with Foden adding the finishing touches late on.
Victory extended City’s winning run to 14 matches and left Liverpool ten points behind having played one match more, and even in this season of surprises a comeback from that position seems unlikely.
