The Champions League final is nearly upon us as Europe’s elite eye glory in the famous competition.
Chelsea are taking on Real Madrid in the semi-finals while Premier League leaders Manchester City are facing Paris Saint-Germain.
Bayern beat PSG in the final of last season’s Champions League but lost to the French giants in the quarter-finals meaning a new champion will be crowned this term.
And now that we are down to the final four, all eyes are starting to turn to this season’s showpiece match.
Champions League final date
The 2020/21 Champions League final will take place on Saturday, May 29 and will kick off at 8pm.
It is being held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.
The winner of PSG v Man City will be the nominated ‘home’ team for the final.
Istanbul were originally scheduled to host the Champions League final last season.
But due to the issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, games from the quarter-finals onwards were rearranged and all played in Lisbon.
Istanbul will now host it this year and the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, Russia will do so next season having been shifted back a year.
