Harry Kane ‘set to stay’ at Tottenham as club refuse to sell to Premier League rival with Man City to target Erling Haaland

Harry Kane looks set to stay in Tottenham as the club are reportedly refusing to ship him off to a Premier League rival.

The goal machine will have his eyes on winning some trophies soon and many believe leaving the club would be the best way to achieve it.

With 160 Premier League goals Kane sits ninth in the league’s all-time scorers but doesn’t have a single piece of silverware to his name.

Clubs all over the world will be keen for the star striker’s signature, but with an asking price of £175 million, many will be priced out.

To make matters worse for potential buyers, Daniel Levy is refusing to sell Kane to a Premier League club, according to The Sun, ruling out Manchester City.

City have been rumoured to be looking to bolster their attacking options, with Sergio Aguero being linked with a move to Chelsea when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Citizens have fallen short of expectations with their Champions League aspirations, and Pep Guardiola views Kane as the perfect forward for his side, although they have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland too.

The English striker has been in fine form this season, with 17 goals and 13 assists in 27 league games, his partnership with Son Heung-Min is one of the most deadly in all of football.

After a humiliating defeat against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League, Jose Mourinho’s men look set for another trophyless season.

Rumours that Kane is growing frustrated with the lack of success and Spurs fans may fear he plans to leave his boyhood club soon.

Outside of the Premier League, Real Madrid look like another club interested in signing him, with Benzema being 33 years old he would be the perfect replacement.

Levy however is sticking to his guns, the chairman is notorious for being difficult to deal with when it comes to transfers and won’t accept anything under his value.

With the Euros just around the corner, Kane will surely have his legacy in the back of his mind. Many people believe he won’t be considered an all-time great without winning a major trophy, and at the age of 27, time is running out.
