Thousands of angry supporters amassed outside the Emirates Stadium prior to Arsenal’s game against Everton.

Chanting could be heard from the group early on: “F*** off Stan Kroenke, get out of our club.”

This was followed by continued choruses of: “We want our Arsenal back.”

As the protests quietened down with the match about to begin, Ek posted a message on social media.

He wrote: “As a kid growing up, I’ve cheered for Arsenal as long as I can remember.

“If KSE would like to sell Arsenal I’d be happy to throw my hat in the ring.”

Ek was born in Stockholm, Sweden and co-founded world famous music streaming service Spotify with his business parter Martin Lorentzon in 2006.

He has since built a reported fortune of $4.7billion.

Arsenal were one of six Premier League clubs that initially agreed to join a breakaway competition designed at rivalling the Champions League.

And those controversial European Super League plans were met with widespread condemnation throughout football – resulting in an embarrassing u-turn from each of those clubs just 48 hours later.

There have been fan protests before all Premier League matches so far this week, including Chelsea’s home clash against Brighton as well as Tottenham’s game with Southampton and now Arsenal hosting Everton.
