Championship transfer news: QPR tracking AFC Wimbledon youngster Jack Rudoni, with Ipswich midfielder Andre Dozzell set to finalise move to W12

QPR are among clubs monitoring AFC Wimbledon youngster Jack Rudoni, talkSPORT understands.

Club chiefs have been impressed with the progress Rudoni has made in a short space of time and view him as a player with real development potential.

Still only 19, the tricky midfielder made 44 first-team appearances in 2020/21 as AFC Wimbledon preserved their League One status for another year.

talkSPORT exclusively revealed in January 2020 that several Premier League and Championship sides were interested in Rudoni, who later went on to sign a new contract at Plough Lane.

Rudoni has been at the club since the age of 11 after leaving Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, QPR are on the verge of finalising a permanent deal for Ipswich’s Andre Dozzell.

Dozzell has been on the club’s radar for some time, with talkSPORT revealing last month that the Rs were looking into a possible deal.

The talented midfielder, who has represented England from Under-16 to Under-20 level, only signed a new three-year contract at Portman Road last December.

But Ipswich boss Paul Cook told the vast majority of his remaining players they could leave the club this summer amid a mass clear out.

And Dozzell was one of those players with QPR subsequently stepping up their interest in the 22-year-old, whose father Jason is an Ipswich legend from his own playing days.

Blackburn were also keen on Dozzell, but he indicated that he wanted to join QPR.

Dozzell burst on to the scene with a debut goal at the age of 16, but his progress was stunted after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury back in August 2017.

The west London side are also hoping to tie up a permanent deal for Fulham’s Stefan Johansen, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with Mark Warburton’s side last season.
