Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during Denmark’s game against Finland in Copenhagen on Saturday evening.
The Inter Milan midfielder dropped to the ground at the Parken Stadium shortly before half-time, leaving players from both teams in clear distress.
After lengthy treatment, including CPR, Eriksen left the pitch awake and was in a stable condition.
The game was suspended but the players then resumed action at 7.30pm – live on talkSPORT 2 – after deciding to ‘finish the game for Christian’ after facetime call to Eriksen from hospital.
Belgium beat Russia 3-0 live on talkSPORT, with Romelu Lukaku sending a message to Inter Milan teammate after scoring the opening goal.
