Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has made a full recovery from coronavirus.
The 35-year-old had been self-isolating for the last 19 days after testing positive for the deadly virus.
Juventus won just one of their four games in Ronaldo’s absence, but he will be available for Sunday’s trip to Spezia.
On Friday evening, a brief Juventus statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo carried out a check with a diagnostic test (swab) for COVID-19.
“The exam provided a negative result. The player has, therefore, recovered after 19 days and is no longer subjected to home isolation.”
Earlier this week, Ronaldo called a PCR test ‘bull****’ after another positive result ruled him out of a reunion with Lionel Messi’s Barcelona on Wednesday.
Messi and Ousmane Dembele got on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win for the LaLiga giants as Juventus forward Alvaro Morata had a hat-trick of goals disallowed for offside.
Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, suggested coronavirus is a hoax after the Portugal captain’s first positive test.
She said: “If Cristiano Ronaldo has to wake the world up, I have to say he really is a prophet from God. Thank you.
“I believe that today thousands of people will stop believing as much in this pandemic, in the tests and in the measures taken like me… the biggest fraud I have ever seen since I was born. Open your eyes please.”
