The Northern Ireland international has established himself as one of the most reliable centre-halves in the top flight during his time at the King Power.

According to the Mirror, Old Trafford chiefs are keen to snap him up on the cheap in January as he stalls on signing a a new deal.

Two years ago, Man City boss Pep Guardiola failed to lure Evans the Etihad, showing just how much he means to the Foxes.

However, in October, Evans admitted he was keen to stay at Leicester.

“I have really enjoyed my time here,” he said when quizzed on his contract situation.

“There’s been nothing formal in terms of contract talks but if we can come to an agreement I’m sure it won’t be a problem and it will be sorted soon.”

Evans, who has played in six league games for Leicester this term, made 131 Premier League appearances for United.
