Former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri remains the bookies’ favourite to become Arsenal’s next manager as pressure mounts on Mikel Arteta.

A poor run of form over Christmas could spell the end to Arteta’s first managerial tenure, having recently been given the dreaded vote of confidence by the club’s chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.
Arsenal currently lie 15th in the Premier League having lost seven of their opening 12 games, and Arteta is the new favourite to become the first manager sacked this season.
