The Champions League quarter-finals will conclude this week with plenty of elite action to come.
Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in their first leg and have it all to do at Anfield if they are to reach the final four.
Chelsea, winners in 2012, were handed a favourable looking draw in Porto and won 2-0 in their first tie.
Thomas Tuchel’s men will be confident of getting through but must do so on neutral ground because of international coronavirus restrictions.
If both English clubs progress then they will meet in another instalment of their fierce Champions League rivalry.
Chelsea and Liverpool previously met in the last four in 2004/05, 2006/07 and 2007/08 and also in the 2008/09 quarter-finals.
Elsewhere, Manchester City’s quest for a maiden Champions League title will continue with a quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund.
City, who have never got past the semi-final of the premier European club competition, beat the German opposition 2-1 in Manchester and must now complete the job.
But they will come up against the hottest young player on the planet in Erling Haaland in the second leg.
If City can get past Dortmund then they will meet either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint Germain in the semi-finals.
The German side and PSG, managed by Mauricio Pochettino, are meeting in a repeat of last season’s final.
Bayern claimed glory in that match but lost 3-2 to the Paris giants last month and must overturn that to make it through.
The semi-final ties will be played on April 27/28 and May 4/5 with the final set for Istanbul on Saturday, May 29.
