Jake Paul has reportedly agreed to fight former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match.
The YouTuber is 3-0 as a professional fighter and getting under the skin of just about everybody in both the boxing and MMA worlds.
His last fight saw him knock out former MMA champion Ben Askren, something that elevated his profile inside the ring enormously.
Paul has been calling out just about anybody that will listen. He has made $50million offers to Conor McGregor, called out Kamaru Usman and even sent a contract to Michael Bisping.
His next opponent will be another UFC star, according to reports.
The Athletic’s boxing insider, Mike Coppinger, wrote on Twitter: “Sources: Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley have agreed to a deal for a boxing match. Jake recently signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime. Friday face-off in Miami planned to promote the event. Paul coming off first-round KO of Ben Askren.”
Former welterweight champion Woodley would certainly be a different level of opponent to any he’s faced before.
Prior to knocking out Askren, his other two opponents were a fellow YouTuber and former NBA star.
Woodley has beaten people like Darren Till, Robbie Lawler, Stephen Thompson and Carlos Condit in his long career in the UFC.
His last fight came in March, where he lost for the fourth successive time.
