Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he suffered an orbital fracture, as well as an acute nose bone fracture in Man City’s Champions League final defeat to Chelsea on Saturday night.
The Belgian star has not confirmed the severity of the injuries yet, but may now be a major doubt for Euro 2020 next month.

He clashed with Antonio Rudiger during the second half and was substituted with a black eye as a result.
De Bruyne posted on Sunday morning: “Hi guys just got back from the hospital.
“My diagnosis is acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now.
“Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back.”
An orbital fracture is an injury seldom ever seen in football and only occurs rarely in combat sports such as boxing.

Billy Joe Saunders suffered a major version of the injury in his defeat to Canelo Alvarez earlier this month.
When hit with a monster uppercut by the Mexican, his eye swelled instantly and he had to be pulled out of the fight and undergo surgery.
Daniel Dubois took a knee against Joe Joyce back in November due to an orbital fracture, though his did not require surgery.
He is finally set to return to the ring next week, six months on.

Kell Brook famously suffered two separate fractures to both of his eye sockets in different fights back in 2016 and 2017.
Both times he underwent surgery and did not return for nine months.
Obviously though, these are two very different sports and the risk of further facial injury is far lesser in football than it is taking punches in boxing.
De Bruyne is yet to reveal the full medical assessment of his injuries and has not said whether he needs surgery or will be able to play on at the Euros with a face mask.
